May is Mental Health Awareness Month, an annual event started by Mental Health America in 1949. It’s all about showing how important mental well-being is, educating people, getting rid of the stigma, and supporting those who struggle with mental health issues. Every year, people and groups come together to raise awareness and fight for better mental health care and resources.
Mental health awareness is super important because it helps reduce stigma, encourages early intervention, and promotes empathy and understanding. When we talk openly about mental health, we create a more compassionate society where people feel comfortable reaching out for help. And guess what? That leads to better mental well-being for everyone!
